Precis #1
Network Neutrality is a major issue. It is very important for a broadband network to remain free of restrictions. If the internet had censorship like television than we would be heading toward a "1984"-esque situation, one that would be incredibly controlled and censored by the federal government. Obtaining pirated software and other copywritten content using torrents is illegal, and pornographic websites are quite dirty, but the internet is a free world for people to share whatever information they want. The government cannot tell them not to because it would just be a complete totalitarian mess where opinions mean nothing and people are numbers.
