Precis #4 copyright and copyleft

Copyright and Copyleft are quite different. Copyrights "exist in order to protect authors of documentation or software from unauthorized copying or selling of their work. A copyright infers that only with the author's permission may such activities take place." But Copyleft on the other hand "provides a method for software or documentation to be modified, and distributed back to the community, provided it remains Libre." Both forms ensure that the proper credits are awarded however Copyleft ensures that the software remains free. Freeware is a very good thing. Free software is automatically superior to software that has to be payed for because of course it is free. Everday programs like Microsoft Word for instance should be free for download as it is the standard in technology. That is why copyleft is better than copywrite.
